New marathon route restaurant owners work to unite community

Ella Baker Center Peace Walk – Oakland Marathon
The Ella Baker Center gathered two dozen families on Grand Avenue on Saturday, just steps from the 5K Running Festival finish line. Sean of the Ella Baker Center explains their effort to combat street violence. Comedian Mark Curry cheered on the crowds and urged them to participate in the walk, “be there or be square but whatever you be, get over to the peace walk”.
