Check this out – four talented dancers at the corner of 90th Ave and MacArthur in East Oakland are caught on video. Truly the best dance video we at OaklandSeen have watched in a long time.
We wonder what the police officer said to the young man before they began dancing, we wonder about their stories and most of all, we wonder where we can see them perform again.
You all make Oakland proud. This was shot by the amazing Yak Films – talented local video producers. Check ‘em out next Friday, August 6th. YAKFILMS and thePeople present All-Styles Dance Battle bringing together the Bay Area’s best dancers in breaking, popping, locking, house and turf styles to compete for the Best of the… part of The Best of the East Bay Party in Jack London Square Broadway and 1st St | Oakland 7pm – 9pm. Free.

Man, this made me miss Oakland. Athleticism, creativity, intensity, soul, a sense of humor. Humanity don’t get no better. These aren’t just any four guys standing on a corner. Thanks and respect.
so sensitive and athletic. makes me proud to call oakland home, proud of my neigbors.
Loved it. I am from Cuba but I lived in Oakland for 17 years. We see a lot of negative news coming from Oaktown, but there is a lot of great talent there that needs to be shown to the world. These kids are a testament to that.
4 Young Black Men on the Street corner in Oakland, hope they don’t get arrested for having too much Talent!
Beautiful, THANK YOU, best of luck
This was breath-takingly beautiful. I wish we knew these artists names.
Ok, I see now… No Noize (red jacket), Man (back jacket), BJ (striped shirt), Dreal (white shirt).
Directed and edited by Yoram Savion
I can’t believe how few people did not bother to read the credits for this film. This is an at least semi- choreographed work. The way we react before we know this is revealing and important, just as our response to any work of art is.
This could be the start of something BIG!
I will keep you boys in mind if I ever need you for my next video…;) You boys made me proud to be living in the Bay Area!
I hope you find much success in whatever you decide to do and I hope that you continue to follow your passion…DANCIN!!!
Ballet, ice skating, gymnastics, hip hop . . . unbelievable!
THAT IS WHAT BAY AREA IS ALL ABOUT……… HOMIE IN THE CINCY CAP KILLED IT ALL THAT BACK FLIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who made the backing track?
You guys ROCK!!!!!!Beautiful.
it’s sad to see that folks from the bay area have never have seen the “TURFIN” and “GIGGIN” style of dance before… ya’ll must haven’t visited the hood lately, or stopped by a high school assembly

Beautiful! Hope you guys are pro because this is one of the best dance performances I’ve ever seen. And so great to see it out on the street in the day instead of in a dark club where you can barely see what’s going on. The wet street is a good touch – makes the whole thing glisten.
pure beauty
love from Chi
