There are several categories of people with whom human resource reports are shared.
The first category of people with whom human resource reports are shared is that of the production or operations managers. These need to see the said HR reports because their work depends on human resource deployments. When productivity levels go down, the operations managers can figure out, from the HR reports, whether it could be on account of staff absences.
The second category of people with whom human resource reports are shared is that of finance managers. These need the HR reports because, when all is said and done, they are the departments that come up with payroll financing. They often end up having to justify the sums of money they put into the payment of salaries and other emoluments, and that is only possible when they have HR reports: especially seeing that just a few of the staff members for whom payrolls are produced turn out to be workers in the finance departments.
The third category of people with whom human resource reports are shared is that of general managers. These need the human resource reports for strategic, top-level decision making. Often, the HR reports given to the general managers are highly summarized, to turn them into executive reports for consumption by these top executives who don’t always have much time.
